Freakin' Sweet.

Brian, Peter, and Stewie Griffin from Family Guy

I personally see my forms of creative outlets primarily falling into two categories: Mostly (or entirely) self expression of a or mostly (or entirely) entertainment. I consider something a piece successful if it combines both in reasonable measure. The ideal of course, the perfect mixture of both. I've noticed a lot of ideas I've generally ever had was humor inclined (except this blog, but I enjoy how it isolated one can be in the staggeringly vast of the web.)

Which is a bit of a problem.

Topical humor and pop culture humor does not age well. References become obtuse with time. Trends become kitsch. Satire can be smart, it can be abrasive, but it can also be extremely obtuse if executed incorrectly.

So, why work towards something that has an extremely short duration?

The works I enjoy bring a smile to my face or make me laugh. I'd like to do the same for someone else.
